The Ballymena Steam Rally returns on Saturday 25th July 2026, bringing a packed day of vintage machinery, working demonstrations, family entertainment and competitive tractor pulling to Ballymena Livestock Market.
One of the big attractions will be the competition tractor pulling, with title-defending competitors taking to the track for a day of horsepower, noise and action. Alongside the pulling, visitors can enjoy an impressive programme of traditional and vintage attractions celebrating Northern Ireland’s motoring, engineering and agricultural heritage.
Throughout the day there will be steam engines, classic commercial vehicles, working stationary engines, threshing, sawing, stone crushing, shingle cutting, green wood turning and blacksmithing demonstrations. The event will also feature a large collection of classic and vintage vehicles, with special displays marking 50 years of the Ford Fiesta, 80 years of the Ferguson TE20, 70 years of the Ferguson Gold Belly and 100 years of the Lister engine.
Families will have plenty to enjoy too, including free bouncy castles, a pet farm, music, trade and craft stands, lawnmower racing and traditional food-making demonstrations. The Ulster-Scots Music Festival and the NI Land Rover Club off-road trek will add even more variety to the day.
