Get ready for a huge day of farming, family entertainment and tractor pulling as the Glenamaddy District Ploughing & Agricultural Show returns on Sunday 4th October 2026 in Co. Galway.

A major attraction this year will be the All Ireland Tractor Pulling, bringing together an impressive selection of tractors for a day of horsepower, smoke and competitive action on the track. Expect plenty of noise, power and excitement as competitors put their machines to the test.

There is much more happening across the show too. Visitors can enjoy NPA ploughing competitions, vintage machinery, cattle, sheep and poultry classes, dog shows and sheepdog trials, lawnmower racing, tug-of-war and live entertainment. There will also be a household and food produce section along with plenty of agricultural attractions throughout the grounds.

Families are especially well catered for, with a dedicated children’s section featuring bouncy castles, a magician, LEGO Man station, face painting, water zorbs and bumper cars, with plenty of free activities available for younger visitors. Helicopter rides also return by popular demand.

Live music on the day will feature Stuart Moyles, Gerry Guthrie and Seamus Moore, helping create a brilliant atmosphere both on and away from the showground.
